Pedagogical Lab

The Pedagogical Lab

The Pedagogical Lab is a space designed for learning to create projects through experience. A creative space to explore other ways of building knowledge, opening perspectives and trying out different paths. A space for learning by doing.

What it is

Espai Aigua’s Pedagogical Lab was born in the 2021-2022 school year with the aim of consolidating a way of living education that sees teaching practice as an ongoing space for reflection, action research and transformation. It is a project from which we observe, ask ourselves questions, try things out, review and try again, starting from the real situations that arise in everyday school life. We understand that educational improvement is not the result of chance or of applying closed formulas, but of a conscious process in which we teachers research our own practice, share questions and build pedagogical knowledge collectively.

The Lab is also an open-plan physical space that is part of everyday school life. In the mornings it is used for different activities, especially those related to project work, since its size, flexible layout and the variety of materials and resources available make different forms of grouping, experimentation, creation and shared work easier. The space can be transformed according to what each proposal needs and allows learning processes to unfold with more freedom and possibilities.
